Linda Aquino


M.S.W. Social Worker

Linda Aquino is a Social Worker intern at Ayudando Latinos a Soñar (ALAS) in Half Moon Bay, California. Linda was born and raised in El Salvador and came to the United States at the age of 18. She struggled with English like other immigrants, but was determined to go to college and push her way through. Her commitment and discipline to work and study paid off in 2010, when she graduated from Las Positas Community College with an AA Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and a Certificate of Achievement in Health and Human Services. In 2013, she graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, and continued her way to pursue a Masters Degree in Social Work at San Jose State University class of 2020. She continues to work multiple jobs while in school to support herself and her family in El Salvador. Linda is very excited to be part of ALAS, and ALAS is extremely honored to have her working with our community!

Linda Aquino se encuentra haciendo su servicio comunitario en Ayudando Latino a Soñar (ALAS) en Half Moon Bay, California. Linda nació y creció en El Salvador. Ella vino a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 18 años. Ella luchó con el Inglés como cualquier otro inmigrante, pero fue su determinación de ir a la Universidad que la hizo hacerlo. Su dedicación y disciplina de trabajar y estudiar dio resultado en el 2010 cuando se graduó del colegio comunitario Las Positas College con su título AA en Artes Liberales y Ciencia así como también con un Certificado de Realización en Salud y Servicios Humanos. En el 2013, ella se graduó de la Universidad Estatal de San Francisco con su Licenciatura en Trabajo Social y continuó para alcanzar su Maestría en la Universidad Estatal de San José clase 2020. Linda continúa trabajando diferentes trabajos para mantenerse a ella y a su familia en El Salvador. Linda está muy emocionada por ser parte de ALAS y ALAS se siente extremadamente honrado con tenerla trabajando para nuestra comunidad!
